SalaTime is a free iOS application available on iTunes that provides well-designed and accurate prayer timings and Qibla direction for Muslims, regardless of their location.

Performing the five daily prayers (Salat) is an essential obligation for every Muslim, necessitating timely prayer performance. To assist users in maintaining their prayer schedule, SalaTime includes an alarm reminder feature that alerts users before the commencement of each prayer.

This app proves particularly useful for travelers as it automatically adjusts prayer times based on one’s current geographical location. It employs various calculation methods compatible with differing practices across Muslim countries, ensuring that users receive accurate prayer times specific to their location.

Additionally, SalaTime offers a projection of prayer times for the upcoming ten days for each obligatory prayer:

Note on App Features:

If you are transitioning from using SalaTime on other platforms, please note that this version may lack certain features such as the "silent mode." Additionally, functionalities like "full Azan" and "adding Azan from memory" will only work when the application is open due to current technical restrictions within Apple's system. We aim to support these features once such limitations are lifted.

Troubleshooting Azan Notifications:

If you encounter issues with hearing notifications, please ensure the following settings are enabled on your device:

1. Settings > Sounds > Reminder Alerts
2. Settings > Notifications > SalaTime
3. Your phone is not in silent mode and the volume is appropriately set

Usage Recommendations:

1. To ensure timely Azan notifications, open the app at least once a week or whenever you change locations or if daylight saving time adjustments occur.
2. SalaTime provides alerts at prayer times using a pre-selected Muazzin sound. For a full Azan experience, keep the app open during the Azan time.
3. The calculation of prayer times is heavily reliant on your current location; thus, ensure that location services are enabled for optimal accuracy. Adjustments can be made alongside each prayer time setting to align them with your local timings if necessary.
